Golden Beginnings: Isabella’s Oakland University Graduation Portraits

This spring, I had the honor of photographing Isabella’s graduation portraits on the beautiful campus of Oakland University, where she earned her Master’s in Biology. The morning light poured across campus, the air buzzing with the excitement that comes only from graduation day — a mix of reflection, joy, and anticipation for what’s ahead.

From the moment Isabella stepped into her cap and gown, it was clear how proud she was of all she’s accomplished. We made our way across some of OU’s most iconic spots — from the Oakland Center and Elliott Tower to the main entrance sign — each one representing a different chapter of her journey here. Her bright smile, colorful heels, and OU tassels added just the right pop of personality to every frame.

One of my favorite parts of photographing college grads is seeing how each session reflects the person behind the degree. Isabella’s portraits radiate warmth and confidence — a true reflection of her passion for science, learning, and growth.

Congratulations, Isabella, on your incredible achievement and the exciting path ahead. Here’s to new adventures, meaningful discoveries, and all the memories you’ve made as a Golden Grizzly.
