Lake Orion Edge Girls Softball Team Photoshoot

This summer, I had so much fun photographing the Lake Orion Edge Girls Softball Team here in Lake Orion, Michigan. From the moment they stepped onto the field, these girls brought contagious energy and a true sense of teamwork. Every laugh, high five, and dusty knee told a story of friendship and dedication — the kind of team spirit that makes photographing youth sports such a joy.

As a Lake Orion photographer, I love capturing more than just the posed portraits — I look for the moments in between. The quick glances between teammates, the encouragement before a pitch, and the shared excitement that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself. This team embodied all of that. Their team portraits show not just their matching uniforms, but their genuine connection.

We photographed their softball team photos at the diamond on a warm summer evening — the light was golden, and the field was alive with chatter and laughter. These girls made it easy to see why sports photography is one of my favorite parts of community life here in Lake Orion.

Whether it’s a youth sports team, a family portrait, or a creative branding session, my goal is always the same: to capture the real relationships that make each moment worth remembering. The Lake Orion Edge Girls Softball Team reminded me how much heart goes into every game — and how much fun it can be to photograph that spirit in action.
